Simple Grilled Tuna Melts

Grilled Tuna Melts (5)

No, it is not Friday. Yes, we are having tuna. I like tuna, a lot. And a tuna melt is even better. Top that tuna with some cheese, throw it on the grill (or on the stovetop), and you’ve got a delicious marriage of two simple components that are delicious in themselves. No plain grilled cheese for me!

So, let’s keep it simple:

Mustard: I’m not a big fan of mustard, so I used it sparingly, but feel free to add as much as you like!

Bread: luckily, we have some awesome Panera white bread in the house, which is bigger than standard-size but pretty darn awesome for a grilled sandwich.

Tuna: we use a Kirkland Brand from Costco, and I make it simply with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.

Cheese: sharp cheddar was on hand, but you could use American just as well

Slap that all together on a grill, cook until browned, and you’re done. Here’s to new favorites!
