Oh look, something else that’s pumpkin. I never see pumpkin food things on blogs. This time of year. Ever.
Let’s move past it. We’re all guilty, we’ve acknowledged the guilt, and we’ve acknowledged that we have no intention of stopping.
This soup is chock full of spices and is guaranteed to warm you up. Plus, it’s super light on the calories but makes a filling lunch.
I’m not sneaking, I know this is practically my first ever savory recipe on this blog. I know. I know. The end is nigh.
Spicy Pumpkin Soup
1 c. pumpkin puree 
1.5 c. chicken broth/stock 
1/4 c. yogurt 
2 t. roasted garlic (or minced garlic) [negligible]
1/2 t. dried sage
1/2 t. cumin
1/2 t. onion powder
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. black pepper
1/4 t. white pepper
1/4 t. nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Heat in a medium saucepan until gently boiling. Cook for 3 minutes, or until thickened. Serve warm.
